The Impact of Spreading Hoaxes

Hoax is an attempt to deceive or persuade the reader or listener to believe about some information, but that information is false or fake. In this modern era, there's a lot of people that spread hoaxes through social media. They don't know that their action can make very big impact. These impact are make everyone losses, the person who spread hoaxes can be imprisoned, and also hoax can make a conflict.

Hoax can make everyone losses. If this hoax spreader gives a false information about something and the readers believes it, it can make the readers losses. The readers will losses because they do what hoax spreader says or gives.

If the hoax spreader spread false information that make many people losses, they can be imprisoned. In Indonesia, hoax spreader will be threatened pasal 28 ayat 1 Undang-Undang about information and transaction electronics. This rules explained that there are people who spread false or fake information, they can be imprisoned for 6 years and has to pay maximum 1 billion rupiah.

And also, hoax spreader can make a big conflict. If some people spread a fake information, the people who reads, of course their thoughts were led to hate another people. If this happen, there will be disunity and anxiety between one group and another group.

In conclusion, if we spread some false information, we will get a big risk and also it can make a big impact for the readers or listeners.
